Privacy policy

Little Air shows air quality and helps you plan time outdoors. This policy describes exactly what the app collects, what it does not, and where everything is kept.

It is written to match how the app actually behaves. Little Air is made by Little Studio, the studio of Muaaz Saeed, who publishes it on the App Store (“we”). Last updated 22 October 2026.

What Little Air does not do

Location

Location is optional and is requested only when you tap the location button. The app asks for when in use access and requests only kilometre-level accuracy. It never asks for precise coordinates.

When you use it, your approximate coordinates are sent once to our server to work out which monitoring station or city area covers you. The coordinates are not stored. What is kept is the identifier of the place you ended up with, so the app can show it again.

You can use Little Air without ever granting location access by choosing a place by name instead.

Searching for a place

When you search, the text you type is sent to our server to look up matching cities and neighbourhoods. Searches are not associated with you and are not retained as a history.

Air quality readings

Requests for air quality data identify the place, never the person. They carry no account identifier, and the app sends nothing about you in order to fetch a reading. This is true whether or not you are signed in.

If you choose to sign in

Signing in with Apple or Google is optional. If you do:

What stays on your device

Your saved places, outdoor plans, trips, scene preference and personalisation choices are stored on your iPhone. If you never sign in, they never leave it. A small copy of the current place and its latest reading is shared with the Little Air widget so it can draw without opening the app; that copy stays on your device.

Reminders

Reminders for your plans are scheduled locally by iOS on your device. They are not sent from a server, and setting one transmits nothing.

Deleting your data

Where data is processed

Our backend runs on Supabase. Air quality measurements and forecasts come from public monitoring networks and atmospheric models, including OpenAQ, national and regional monitoring agencies, and the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service via Open-Meteo. These providers receive requests from our servers, not from your device.

Children

Little Air is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your account data by contacting us at the address below. Account deletion is also available directly in the app, in Settings.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it. Material changes will be noted in the app.
